Class News

THANK YOU
Thank you to each of you who provide our Friday treat.  The number of students to prepare for is 15.  I cannot thank my volunteers enough.  You are wonderful!  Thank you to Rebekah's mom and to Cayden's mom for providing our treats for the past two weeks.  We give another great big "Thank you" to Arowyn's mom for sharing her "Indian" relics with all three classes.  It was great!  Also, a continued "Thank you" to Stuart's mom for volunteering in our classroom on a regular basis.  And, "Thank you" to Rebecca's mom for providing special "Thanksgiving" projects for our class.  You are the most amazing parents and I hope I never fail to thank you for all you do.  All of my parents are so willing to help, and I appreciate your willingness to serve our children.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDER
Thank you for your continued support with our Scholastic Book orders. October's book order should be in this week if the "Veteran's Day" holiday does not slow it down.  I will be sending out November brochures today.

LIBRARY BOOKS
Please make sure your child brings their library book back to school no later than Thursday of each week in order to be allowed to check out a new book on Friday.  These books are perfect opportunities to read to your child and record on their reading log.  We were unable to go to the library last week, because of "Book Fair".  Hopefully, we will be back on track this week.

BAG BOOKS
We will continue our take home bags after the holidays.

BOOK FAIR
Thank you for supporting our Book Fair.  It was a great success!

BOOK-IT
We will began the Book-It program in November.  This packet is due November 30th.  The child is required to read/or have read to them a total of four (4) books for the Month.  They must complete the pages in the packet in order to receive credit for the books.  Once their packet is complete, they will need to bring it back to school to receive their certificate for a free Personal Pan Pizza.  The children love doing this, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

CLASSROOMS CARE
The "Classrooms Care" program has begun.  Each child should read 10 books by December 17th.  I am sending the bookmarks home Monday for you to record the ten books.  Please record these and keep up with the bookmark.  It will need to be returned to me on Wednesday, December 15th.  These are the ONLY supplies I have for this program, so please help your child be responsible, and keep up with their bookmark.

THANKSGIVING DINNER AT SCHOOL
Thursday, November 18th is our Thanksgiving Dinner here at Oliver.  If you plan on eating with your child on that day, please return your form and money no later than THIS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH to purchase your ticket(s).   They will not accept visitors who do not have a prepaid ticket.  We hope to have 100% participation for this special occasion.
